We've been so excited to get Lottie into sports ever since she was a tiny thing. Not because we really care about sports but because she has always had real, raw, natural ability. So we signed her up for soccer this past March/April but weren't we surprised when the games were a week away from starting and we were still getting emails that no one had volunteered to coach her team and unless some one did they would have to cancel the Pixies. We couldn't let that happen so the week of the first game I signed John up to be the coach. I would have done it myself by I just have too many babies to keep track of right now.
As our girls arrived for our first game John and I watched in shock as our opponents (the unicorns) were running drills and formations. Their coach even knew all his players names! So I pushed John out onto the field and told him to do something, anything!
He had them line up and do some disco moves and whatever other little stretches he could think of and had all the parents on the sidelines laughing pretty hard. Luckily, it was time to start pretty quick.
Lottie was awesome. As the season went on she just got better and better. I mean with Kindergarten soccer is it's not real intense or anything but Lottie was definitely one of our star players.
I don't think the Pixies ever did actually win a game but we had a lot of fun cheering on our team.
