October Stuff

We love the Orem Fire Department Open House Day.  It's usually in the beginningish of October and they do such a great job.  Free cotton candy and popcorn and Fire Chief hats, a fire demonstration and tons of activities for the kidlets.  Also, we live across the street so it's super convenient.

Lottie is generally afraid of anything and everything.  This was while the helcopter took off.

After asking around I learned that locals in this area go to the Vineyard Nursery for pumpkins.  We went to Cornbelly's last year which was fun but it's almost a little too much fun for our tiny kids.  It's so overwhelming and there are so many people that we decided for now at least Vineyard is more our speed.

You can't really tell in this picture but we picked a day that happened to be pouring rain.  It wasn't too bad when we started out but then it got worse.
Yes, that's a little more what it was like.
They kids loved it, I personally could have done without the rain but I guess that's just the kind of stuff we mom's put up with to make fun for our kids.
Along with the bounce houses, and the petting zoo and the Halloween village, they also had this non spooky "light alley".
It was really adorable and my kids thought it was the coolest thing ever.
Afterwards we took all the kids to Krispy Kremes.  (We had a few extra kids that day by the way)

Oh, and a couple weeks ago we went to the Haunted forest with our brother and sister-in-law.  It was equally horrible and fun.
