The Terrible Two

These two are going to be the death of me.

They love to be together.  They play and play and play all day and never ever fight or get mad at each other like other combinations of my kids.

But oh my the trouble they get into.

Yesterday they got into my China and broke more things than I want to think about.   They found my food coloring and colored each other red all over.  They discovered my hiding spot for the hose spigot and made a huge mud pit next to the house and covered each other and a bunch a toys in mud.  From the picture you can see that they also climbed up to the top shelf of my craft closet and found my one and only permanent Sharpie and wrote all over themselves and some other irreplaceable things in my bedroom.  Today at Liberty Park they were off playing together and Charlie came back with a huge gash in his head requiring yet another trip to InstaCare for stitches.

I know what you're thinking. Where is the mom when all this is happening?

That's the crazy part.  All this destruction can take about 60 seconds from start to finish.  How can they do so much damage in the time it takes me to change a diaper, or make lunch, or go to the bathroom.  It's like they make the plans in advance and wait until I look occupied and then they make their move.

My only hope is that all this conspiring and mischief is building a strong relationship between the two of them that will last the rest of their lives.  Maybe that's a stretch but it's all I've got right now!

Oh my, any one of those things would have thrown me over the edge. Oh how I tire of cleaning up crazy messes all day. Coop and Tia are very similar. Sometimes I feel like a robot following behind them. At lease once a week we have to replace something they've broken or vandalized. Like you I'm glad they have each other, but life would be easier with a 1:1 security guard.

They will have a lot of "Remember when..." stories when they are older. I can see you all sitting around when they are parents themselves telling stories of all the horrible things THEY did as kids. Just hang in there.

I never had those problems, my kids are perfect, LOL.
Don't worry, these things stop as they get older. I only worried when my house was quiet; that is when most of the destruction would happen. I usually only had one problem at a time to deal with and agree with Alie, that just one of those things would be enough for me.
