Rainy rainy day

This morning we woke up to pouring rain.  Since we had no plans at all I pulled out everything I could think of to keep the fighting to a minimum.  (which is the natural state of my two older kids).  We did domino's, then moon sand, then we made the house into a zoo and bought tickets, then made banana bread, then we did stencils, then made those fortune teller things made out of folded paper.  By this time I had pretty much run out of steam.  I mean that takes a lot of steam with 4 little kids.

The problem I find with engaging them and playing with them this way is then they can't think of anything to do for themselves.  I wanted to lay on the couch and watch a movie so I could relax but that only interested them for a little while before they started getting restless and whining at my feet to come up with something fun for them to do.  Seriously, they are so much easier when I just let them wander around the house making messes and destroying things.  I mean who's training who here?
Also, is this considered nagging?  Probably.

For some reason I can see John being a smart a#$ and using his pee to check things off that list. Let's hope he doesn't.

I told John about your comment and he said it HAD crossed his mind. That's gross, it had never crossed mine.

the pass of all passes!!! I missed the one day when social living was doing them for 9.99 and now everytime we drive past the billboard on i-15, justin says,"the ONE day you didn't do facebook."

I showed Ryan your list since he is always complaining about my chore list for him (He had a good hard laugh). I have learned to keep the list in my head and not overwhelm him with everything at once. I just give him one project at a time and he is much happier and willing. Your list looks oddly similar to mine, LOL.
