Have I mentioned that my mom and dad live across the street from me? Have I mentioned how absolutely incredible that is? It's heavenly. Not only does my mom help me at Costco sometimes and allow John and I to go on a date every week and help me clean my house and love my kids but she also teaches Preschool.
Not just any preschool either - she does Joy School. The Joy School curriculum is unlike anything else I've ever seen. It's all about learning about kindness and sharing and curiosity and joy. My mom is an amazing teacher. She is full of energy and excitement and she loves these kids so much. She puts hours each night into preparing her lessons and the kids love it. My kids come home singing songs about making and keeping goals and finding new friends and serving our neighbors.
She also takes them on field trips sometimes.
She even does story time at the library. Isn't she amazing!
Anyway, my mom and dad have been gone for almost a month now with my sister who's just had a baby. I'm glad they've been there to help her but I SERIOUSLY want them back now. This is what it's come to around here, we sit in front of the oven waiting for our silly pancakes to get silly. We are getting desperate mom!!
