Recipe for fall

In the summer it seems we eat a lot of chicken but suddenly I'm sick to death of chicken. So last week instead of buying my usual 20 lbs. of chicken at Sams I bought beef. Roasts, steaks, stew meat etc. Here's a recipe my mother-in-law told me about that was so delicious I had to share.

Beef Stroganoff

2 large sirloin steaks
2 cans of cream of mushroom soup
1 packet Lipton Onion soup mix
1/4 cup or so of sour cream

Combine the canned soup and the soup mix in a casserole, then add the steaks. Cook at 275 for about 2 1/2 - 3 hours. After a couple hours start pulling the meat apart with a knife and fork. The more it cooks the easier this will get. After you take it out add some sour cream and salt and pepper. I served mine with some egg noodles so I also added a little of that starchy cooking water from the noodles to loosen the sauce. But I think it would taste really good over mashed potatoes.

Try it! Love it!
