We decided to drive all the way through on Friday. It was long, the kids didn't sleep nearly as much as we would have liked, and I ate way too much candy and cherry coke but we made it home just before midnight and carefully transferred each kid from their car seats to their beds and we all slept in until 9 the next morning. We had such a magical vacation. It's hard to do this kind of stuff with little kids but so worth it.
