John and I got to attend our first of many Halloween parades this morning. It was pretty cute to see all the different costumes and Charlie loved it. He was sitting up on John's shoulders applauding and giggling the whole time. Jack was Spiderman. After the parade I helped out with the Halloween party for the rest of the morning.
Whew, 4 groups of 30 kindergarteners making a little spiderweb glitter craft, it was a lot of work.

After school we had some mummy dogs which are always a hit.
We played some Halloween games after lunch.
We went over to my brothers house for dinner and trick or treating. They had mentioned the possibility of full sized candy bars and I was intrigued. I've heard these rumors as a kid about certain neighborhoods but I've never actually found these elusive areas.
John and Jack were Darth Vaders'. John's costume was made for a 10 year old boy so it was pretty great to see him squeeze his body into it. I would post a picture but I'm not sure it was appropriate. Charlie was Spiderman, Lottie was a princess and Ivy was a lady bug.
We saw about 10 other lady bugs which is no big surprise because I bought her costume at Costco. We all love Costco!

John's costume was tricky and kept falling apart. I just loved this picture of his helmet coming off.
There it is! A full size candy bar! The rumors were true about my brothers neighborhood. Full sized candy bars all over the place.
It was a good Halloween. Holidays like these are so much fun with little kids but really I'm glad it's over. I'm Halloweened out and ready to move on.

Once your kids are in elementary school, Halloween is always a busy day for moms. We scored ONE full-sized candy bar in our neighborhood, but no one can agree on which house gave it out. It's a Halloween mystery.
I am Halloweened out too and took down all of my decorations today. I am so glad you guys came over to our house and I'm sorry Ryan had to pick Zak up right as we sat down for dinner. Everything they say about teenagers is true; they are a bigger pain than toddlers.
