I had somehow forgotten how the days of early pregnancy completely wipe you out...same with the end of pregnancy, but lately I've been feeling more and more like myself and I've been wanting to go out and do stuff again. Today we went out to my in-law's farm to play and ride the mules. We brought my brothers' 6 kids along too since their parents are out of town this weekend and my parents have been staying over there.
My parents brought a huge, enormous, picnic lunch. So enormous that we had some to share with mules.
And we played in the river. Just about this time eight years ago John and I had a picnic in the same spot and afterward we decided to take our shoes off and walk down this river. About 50 feet up I noticed a little clay pot that John had made tucked into the bank of the river. I reached over to pick it up and it had an engagement ring in it. He got on one knee right in the middle of the river and asked me to marry him.
Good memories down on this river. It's fun to take our kids here now and remember that.

Jack sure loves his cousins to pieces. One of these days they are going to realize how much older they are than him and the dynamics will change.
That makes me sad, but today these boys played and played and played their little hearts out.

Today, I'm super grateful for my family, and my kids, and where we live, and for my husbands beautiful calf muscles...

The farm is so fun! And those Wollenzien boys have some good leg genes...I always tell Kurt that, too!
Brielle, I think I have that same maternity shirt. H&M? When can we take matching pregnancy pictures? please please? When?
