I told him I'd make him whatever he wanted for breakfast and of course he picked crepes.
Jack would eat crepes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I think it's just a excuse to eat nutella but whatever..

I tried to think of everything I needed to tell him about making friends and loving school. Find a boy, tell him your name, and compliment him on his shoes or his backpack or whatever. Look your teacher in the eye and speak up. Still quietly and listen. Run around and be crazy at recess. I even stuck his favorite little action figure that he's named "Captain Stinky Pants" in his pocket in case he needed a secret friend.
In the end I don't think he needed any of that. We went in, found his name and a seat at one of the tables and he said- k, see ya later mom. And that was that.
This boy is going to be just fine. He did say afterwards that he was a little disappointed that there was no math because he loves math but all in all I think he had fun. I did better than I thought I would. No tears, no anxiety (for either of us). We are moving on.

"find a boy and compliment him on his shoes". I love it. I can't believe our little babies will be kindergartners.
I hope jack doesn't get too bored in school. That puzzle looks WAY too easy for him.
P.S. Jack has never complimented me on my shoes.
