Easter eggs

Photobucket
Last week we tried to make some easter eggs with Paper Mache. (anyone know how to spell that?) Anyway, it's kind of fun in a super messy, ruin your clothes kind of way. First you blow up balloons. Then cover them with newspaper dipped in flour and water.

Then paint em:

Originally I had planned on using them as easter decorations but they became toys pretty quick. They have been turning up all over the house like in the dishwasher and under my pillow. They have been rolled down the stairs and hit with baseball bats all over the backyard. I think they've been put to good use.

We did those last year for Easter and filled them with goodies. Then on Easter the kids cracked them open like mini-pinatas. I like your spray paint idea - that would be a lot faster than the way we did it!
