Survival
Charlie and I were given the option of going home on Friday morning or staying until Saturday. I chose to stay until Saturday and now that we've been home for a couple of days I wish we could have stayed at the hospital another month. Being home is rough! I don't know if it's because I'm still recovering so I'm not totally myself yet or if it's because my kids are trying to adjust to a new family member and the only thing they can think of to do is act like a couple of lunatics but this has been a long and exhausting weekend. Lots of crying (mostly from Jack and Lottie) lots of diapers and lots of Tylenol for me.
Charlie though is wonderful and sweet and happy and I am so glad to have him home and healthy. I'm getting better everyday and I'm really loving bringing out all my old clothes. I weighed myself before I left the hospital and I had lost 12 pounds. It's the best diet in the world!

What a perfect photo of you and lil' charlie. Thank goodness for grandmas, eh?
I wonder if that feeling is just a third child thing. I remember feeling that the hospital was a peaceful place and I did NOT want to go home after I had Bridget. I cried when I had to go home. I really liked the quiet peace, delivered food, and nursing staff that the hospital provided. It wears off. I tried to bring that peace home with me from the hospital and it didn't last as long as I would have like. Your little Charlie is so adorable. Feel better soon!
Brielle, I hope you get the rest you need! I am dreading that part of my upcoming adventure...feeling so worn out and wanting peace!!! You look great and your baby is just precious!
The pics of the kids holding charlie are adorable. What a cute little guy. I'm glad he's healthy and happy. Sorry it's been a rough weekend. It should pass soon. All I know is that I'm overwhelmed with 2 right now and 3 is pretty much blowing my mind. Good luck! I'm glad you'll have your parents there to help out a little :)Oh and I agree getting back into your old clothes is the best!
Congratulations on the cute new baby! He really is so sweet and good luck with the adjustment. I'm getting a little scared to bring home the third baby in the next week. Yikes!
