Schools End

We've only had one kid in school this year but holy moley those last 2 weeks were killer.  The Read-a-Thon then the Field Day then the Write-a-Thon then the Field trip to Thanksgiving Point then the Teddy Bear Picnic.  All of these special days required a treat to share or a bag lunch or 2 dozen cookies and all of them were some variation of the regular school schedule.  8:00 - 10:50 then 11:15 - 2:30 then 9:15 - 12:05 then 8:00 - 9:30.  What will we do with all 5 kids in school!!  Here's the Dance Festival.
It was hilarious because for the first few minutes of his song I don't think he knew we were there since he wasn't doing anything just giggling with his friend Alama in the back and then once he noticed us he really hammed it up.  Here's a couple of my favorite poses.

Here's Jack on his first and last day of school.  Is it just me or does he look older at the beginning of year?

After school we took all the kids to get donuts.  Us and every other kid who got out of school today.  It was packed but also really fun!

On the way home we stopped by Savers to get the kids some new summer time board games and something for Jack to take apart.  It was really hard to decide between this robot dog and the old type-writer but I hoped this would have some more interesting things inside for him to figure out.  We'll see...  Now for summer to officially begin!

Huh - neat idea. I've never thought about buying something just to be taken apart. I've got a boy that would love that.
