Meeting Santa:

Today we wrote letters to Santa.  Jack took this very seriously, since he is questioning the whole idea right now.  He told me the other day that he's pretty sure Santa is not real and that it's just people giving presents to each other.  I'm not ready to let this happen just yet so I'm taking it all very seriously too.  In case you can't read his writing it says he wants a sideways bow and arrow.  (Christmas shopping is done ---  he's not getting that)
I just had to post this picture of Ivy doing her down glance.  She does this funny face every once and a while and I've been trying to get a picture of it forever.  I sometimes wonder if she has vision problems and she's trying to focus - we'll see, but for now it's just super cute.

Getting ready to go - letters and hot chocolate ready.
We were talking on the way to the Riverwoods mall about how we would love to take the kids on tracks to Temple Square but we are too scared.  It seems so overwhelming and far away-for now the Riverwoods mall is more our speed.  It's close by and contained and still has plenty of lights to wow the kids.

And, the Riverwoods mall has a really great Santa.
And, a cute box to send your letters in.
When I was tucking Jack in tonight he said we should probably leave out some cookies for Santa on Christmas eve and just see what happens.  I think tonight was a success!

Eli gives me a look like Ivy's when he's trying to do a "mad" face. It's too funny.

Enjoy the Santa phase while you can. Our youngest is on the verge of not believing and it makes me sad. Christmas just won't be the same without a Santa believer. :(
