The kids were excited to see the 12 apostle presents on Saturday morning and knew right away what Saturday it was.
I tried to get things this time that would keep them busy for a few minutes so that John and I could listen to a little bit of what was being said.
Didn't work..This is what we looked like through every session Saturday and Sunday.
One kid climbing on our legs another one begging for a snack, another one with a poopy diaper and everyone else complaining about it.

Also, we thought it would be a good weekend to try potty training the monkey. 2 days, 0 successes. Just a whole bunch of accidents. Ugh, so frustrating.
I didn't get to hear anything at all. It's a good thing I teach these talks in Relief Society so I'll study them later.

We did make these cool little robots though for Jack to take to his Kindergarten class today. They were actually kind of fun to work on.
We had my family over on Sunday night for dinner and to sing to a couple October birthday kids.
Jack loved it, can you tell?
Since Jack's birthday falls on our anniversary John and I agreed to celebrate us in a couple weeks with a little weekend getaway. At least that is what I thought we had decided until I went to make my morning smoothie and saw this little beauty sitting on the kitchen counter. Shocked is an understatement. I've been wanting one of these for a long time but never dreamed I would actually get one. I can't wait to experiment with this monster!
Jack had a good day, I think. He got to open some fun presents and is right now at the movies with his best friend and cousin Tate.
I'm so proud of my biggest boy. He is the best oldest kid I could ask for. The other night after I had said good night to him I happened to walk past his bedroom and I heard him say to Charlie that they needed to get out of bed for prayers. Charlie then jumped out head head first like he was jumping off a diving board and body slammed onto the floor while Jack got on his knee's and prayed for the 2 of them. That they would have happy dreams and stay warm all night. I have no doubt that Jack will be ok as he grows up. I know that he will have problems and that stuff will happen that will be crappy but I know that Jack gets it. He has his own relationship with his Father in Heaven and he knows how to get answers and comfort. I don't know about my other kids but I know Jack is going to be ok.

Holy Smokes nice gift! I've wanted one, but way too expensive...I'll have to come over and have you make me a smoothie sometime! I've been wondering: are you still potty training, or gonna wait for later?
