I swear we're not always going and doing fun things but this last week or so we have been.
I'm trying to squeeze in as much fun as possible before my little guy starts kindergarten next week.

The last time I went to the Planetarium was when it was across from the mall in Salt Lake.
It's all new and improved now. It was so much fun for my little Star Wars fans.

I just love Ivy's face in this picture. She looks like my brothers.
About half way through this space museum Charlie tore off the little paper conductors hat we got at the Heber Creeper a few weeks ago and announced he needs a space helmet now.
So much for our train phase.

We loved the moon and mars exhibit where you get to crawl all over the rocks.
The very best part of the Clark Planetarium is that it's free. So great!
Since we were at the Gateway mall anyway we took the kids over to the splash pad and had our picnic.

Also, a new McDonald's opened up right down the street from us and we've been so excited watching them build it. It has the best play place around. You can tell a lot of time and thought has gone into the new play places at McDonald's. No more abyss of tubes where you lose your children to the whims of whatever 12 year old is controlling the place. The place is awesome and I see us spending many winter days there.
I enlisted my parents help, again, to re do my bedroom. Walls in "delicate white", shiny white trim, new bedspread and some white curtains.
I'll put up some pictures once I sweet talk John into putting up the trim.

John and I sneaked in a date since his sister is in town from DC and his brother has tickets to the Real games.
It was such an exciting game! Even though I know nothing about soccer or any of the players
and had to ask John as the players ran out onto the field " are we rooting for the red guys or the black and white guys?" It was such a fun night!

We also tried out the Sweets Candy Factory Tour. Who knew there was such a thing right? Let me tell you this is so worth the trip if you are in the Salt Lake area. They take you all over the factory and let you taste candy along the way at the different stages of production.
Charlie eyes were so wide as he walked through the stacks and stacks and stacks of candy.

I let the kids each have a little bag and they filled it with all the different flavors of taffy they wanted and then I got a big bag and it ended up costing $1.75.
Pretty cheap for a super fun day.

Tons of end of summer fun, yet still we're not quite ready for school..
