Scenes from Conference Weekend

We tried something new this time around.  In an effort to make them pay more attention to what's going on in each session I bought 12 super cheap and simple little things from Walmart and put a picture of each of the 12 Apostles on top.  We talked about the 12 Apostles a lot all week and even learned a little song to help us remember their names.  Then each time one of them spoke they would race to the box of presents and try to match the face with the speaker.  It was so much fun.  For all of us.  It sort of made Conference into a holiday.  A really special fun time rather than 2 days of me yelling at them to be quiet so I can listen like it usually is.

Then me and the kids got ice cream while John went to the Priesthood session.

 Some of us couldn't make it all the way through on the Sunday afternoon session.

 And some of us look really funny when we wake up from a good conference nap.

  Meanwhile, I couldn't stop taking pictures of Ivy while she looked up at me on the couch.

Now to prepare for Easter.
