dinner in Nazereth

Sometimes I wonder why I even bother with this stuff since my kids complain the entire time, but we attempted a dinner in Nazareth anyway.  Dressed in robes and eating herb roasted chicken and unleavened bread on the floor with nothing but candle light and the tree.  It sounds perfectly wonderful but let me assure you in  between the pictures there was plenty of whining and fighting.

After we ate we each wrote or drew a picture of what our gift to the Savior is going to be this year.  Lottie's was to be more reverent during prayers, Jacks was to show more love to Lottie and Johns was to listen better to his wife.  Mine was to be more patient with all of them.  Then we put our notes in boxes, wrapped them and stuck them on the tree.
I'm excited to do this again next year when everyone's a year older.
How is it that my husband can look so handsome with a sheet on his head?

keep this one up...the succeeding years will be a hit! And John totally nailed the "magnum look"! :) P.S. regarding the computer: let them watch it, itis freezing winter...when spring rolls around, they'll be begging to be outside again - you are a great mom!

What a great tradition to start even with all the screaming. Ivy is getting so big. Have a merry Christmas.
