End of a long day

Today our good friends the Canlas' had a combined baptism/ baby blessing. Jon Canlas is an old friend of my husbands and the guy who took these pictures.  We have a little bit of a crush on their family so we woke the kids up early this morning and dressed them all up and made them sit through a 2 hour stake baptism, 6 confirmations, then a baby blessing, and then a testimony meeting.  By the end of it my kids wanted to tear each other apart.

I just have to say one thing so that when I go back and read this as a Grandma I'll remember that days like today make me wonder why I ever wanted kids.  They were absolutely horrible.  Kicking, punching, teasing each other until they're all hysterical, blowing out of their diapers, whining and whining and whining all day.  It just makes a person want to lose their mind.  On top of all of it my room is a mess, the dishes are backed up and I have the stomach flu. It sucks.

At least they're cute.  On days like today it's the only thing they have going for them.

I love this post. So funny and true and the scariest part is I only have one! What am I getting myself in to?! ;)
