Rocktober meets conference

This year we combined our annual autumnal fest with General Conference for a weekend of fun.  But keeping all my kids happy and relatively quiet for 8 hours of tv watching is about as far from "fun" as you can get.  I printed out a bunch of halloweeny things from the family fun website for them to work on, then we did leaf rubbings, then legos, then the nursery conference packet from Sugardoodle, then the junior primary packet from Sugardoodle, then a little spider craft foam thing I got from Joann's, and then it was time for the second speaker.

In the middle of it all John decided to make a dozen cinnamon rolls, then a dozen pluot jam rolls, then 3 loaves of wheat bread.  Then he decided to juice all the rest of the tomatoes in the garden and can 5 gallons of vegetable tomato soup.

On Sunday we had to bring out something for the kids to climb around on and this little slide thing kept them busy for almost the entire morning.  Pretty nice..

After it was all said and done we had a big dinner at my moms house to celebrate getting through the weekend.  I can't wait until the Ensign comes out so I can read all the stuff I missed.  All the same I love General Conference weekend.
