Start super early in the morning before it gets too hot. (we started at 11:00)
Don't tell your kids about eating lunch at the top until right before you get to the top. (Jack begged to stop and eat every 10 feet)
Don't sing pioneer songs as you walk - it's embarrassing when you come across other people.
Invest in good hiking shoes for your kids (Lottie struggled in her pink Mary Jane's)
Do it more often! (it took a good 20 minutes of hiking before we finally heard Jack say, this is even more fun than Angry Birds!)
Hiked Grove Creek in Pleasant Grove
p.s. I took Lottie to the Dr. to see what she thought about the peeing,
she had her urine tested and her blood and she is completely normal.
.just to busy to stop and go to the bathroom I guess...

Hiking is one of our favorite family activities, but one or two of our kids would say otherwise. We need to find more family-friendly hikes in the area - haven't done that one. We try to find geocaches along the way, which helps keep the "bored" one motivated a bit.
I LOVE Angry Birds! I totally got addicted when my husband got his Xoom tablet and downloaded the game. I haven't been into any type of video or computer game since my brother's Super Mario World, like 15 years ago. :) Tell Jack he has good taste. My oldest, Craig, likes it, too. We usually take turns playing it.
Where is Grove Creek? How long was the hike?
Looks beautiful!
John could tell you exactly how to get there. It's a pretty steep hike about 40 minutes up (at little kid pace) and I was shocked my kids did as well as they did but it sure was pretty at the top.
