Lottie turned 3 on Monday. We had some cake a sang to her at my brothers house on Sunday night and when I tucked her in bed that night I asked her if she was excited for her birthday the next day and she said "I thought today was my birthday.." HA! Why do I get all wrapped up in birthdays when all she needed was some cake and a song?
So I tried to keep her birthday super low key. They played with her new kitchen all day and then at the last minute we ran over to McDonalds for dinner and to play with the grandparents.
Lottie is such a girl, she requests a story about ballerinas and princesses every night and she insists that we substitute her name into every book we read. She only colors with pink and red crayons or markers and she loves having her hair curled and her nails painted. I'm looking forward to being best friends with her forever.

It might be ridiculous but I teared up when you said she said "I thought today was my birthday" You can point that out to her when she's 16 and doesn't get the car she wants. Haha! I love how easy it is to please our kids when they're little!
