There are some perks to living in an apartment complex. In the clubhouse they have this movie theater room that we decided to reserved over the weekend. We took the kids to see Tangled in 3D a couple days ago in a fancy movie theater with popcorn and drinks, but this to them was off the charts. They went crazy and we had a lot of fun.

Jack started preschool today. He goes to a mom's group one 2 days a week with Lottie, but now he'll be going to a real elementary school the other 3 days. I asked him in the car this morning if he'd like me to park and come in with him for a few minutes but he said no, "I want to just go with my teacher." So that's that.

I picked him up a couple hours later and he ran out of the building yelling "I love preschool!!" He had a ton of fun and I enjoyed having some alone time with Lottie while Charlie napped. It's a little strange though not being in complete control of what he's exposed to in a day. He came home calling Lottie an "idiot" which we had a long talk about right away. I'm sure that stuff will happen more and more now.
Here we go.

you know what will drive them insane? Play movie theater one night for FHE. My mom used to do this and we LOVED IT! she'd send us to our room and then slide a movie ticket and some pretend money under our door...then we'd come out and she had chairs set up like a movie theater in the living room. There was a 'concession' table with popcorn in baggies and cans of soda (which was a total treat for us back in the day) and candy bars!!!! we could buy while we watched the movie. She and my dad would rip our tickets and welcome us to the movie. It was so much fun that we would BEG for them to do it for us.

On second thought, maybe it won't be that fun when you are used to going to a real movie theater...I think it worked because we were like, totally destitute. I'm still going to post this (mostly because I spent all this energy typing it out and I should be writing a paper!)

Glad your move feels right. That's always a good moment.

I think that would be a lot of fun. We actually don't take them to the movies very often. Like once every 6 months.
