They're not actors - they're re-enactors

Over the weekend we went and saw this really cool Living History Encampment. We had authentic 18th century rootbeer and carmel corn and we got to witness first hand the battle between the French and Indians.

The only real damper on the day was when Jack got spooked in the porta-potty and came bursting through the door head first into the dirt with his pants down around his ankles. Everyone who happened to be passing by at the moment thought it was pretty hilarious but for us it meant every wipe I had brought and the promise of a piece of pie on the way out to calm him down.

Why is it that when one kid melts down it sets the other one off too? Here's Lottie during the fiasco.

p.s. I wish wish wish that we had gotten a picture of Jack too. I really regret that.

So, you managed to snap a photo of Lottie's distress, but not Jack's. Would have been a funny picture, to say the least.

you have the cutest pregnant tummy I've ever seen. Love your shirts in the last 2 posts. You make being 30 weeks pregnant look so good.

We were there too. I'm sad that we didn't see you there to say Hi! Poor Jack...port a potties are spooky. Poor Lottie, she just loves her brother so much that it scared her too. I agree that your tummy is cute.

Thanks for making me laugh today. (Sorry Jack) I needed it, hard week-end with a sick Emma. At 30 weeks pregnant with #6 I was at Disneyland for 4 days and loving it! I don't know how I did that, I really don't.
