Here's the only picture that was taken on my 28th birthday. Do you see how this picture is all washed out and weird colored. Well John got me this for my 28th birthday.
I've wanted this camera for years and every time I got close to saving up the money (800 big ones) we would need new tires, or a new water heater or something crazy. So out of nowhere John just buys the thing and puts it on my nightstand the morning of my birthday. I can't believe it but after all this time I just couldn't do it. I couldn't rationalize why I need a $800 camera so as soon as the place opened we went and took it back. (John was secretly sooooooooo happy) We did buy a new camera but it's much cheaper and more simple and it will take videos too. So with some the money we saved John took me shopping and I got 2 new pairs of shorts. We also got to see Star Trek and go to dinner ALONE which was pretty wicked awesome. This is going to be a good year.

A night out alone w/dinner....wow! I would take that too over an $800 camera. That never happens around here. I'm glad you had a good b-day!

Happy Birthday Vern, I'm still sort of bummed about the camera but I would have done the same thing. Didn't you love Star Trek? I was skeptical but I actually really liked it.
