Drainage

This picture has nothing to do with anything but it's the only picture I've taken in the last few days so I thought I'd just throw it in.
We are potty training over here. I mean the real kind where you actually throw away all your diapers and spend your days running to the bathroom and washing loads of messy big boy pants. The problem with potty training is you think you've crossed a milestone (like waking up from nap time dry) only to have another accident 2 minutes later. I read this little book about potty training and she made it sound so possible but I'm not so sure.
If anyone has any advice I would love to hear it.

You need motivation. Something more than candy and little treats. Buy a transformer or something that he really wants and set it up above the toilet. Girls are usually naturally motivated and want to be grown up. Boys seem to need a little more help getting motivated.

Cherrios as aiming practice in the toilet works well. Also try food coloring, so when he pees it will make designs and change colors.

I hate potty training. I have nothing fun to say about it. I just want to hurt the people that tell me that it's "easy".

I'm sorry you are having to do this. I feel your pain. We are still working on Tommy and he turned 3 last July.

Good Luck
