Fast Food kind of Day

It starts at 7:23 am with a little boy 3 inches away from my face pleading "mama, pancakes, pleeeeeeeeeeease". After breakfast I take the kids to Little Lu's 4 month check up. She had 3 shots--she cried. Jack locked himself in the car with my keys--he cried. The police were called--I cried. In the end Little JC unlocked the doors himself with my coaxing through the window to
"PUSH THAT BUTTON LITTLE JC, PUSH THAT BUTTON PLEASE!!"
Greasy hamburgers and fries were devoured because I just didn't feel like doing anything else.

Now, I really like to greet JC home from his day at work with brushed hair and lipstick on. Today though, we met him out on the sidewalk with both kids down to nothing but their diapers. Little JC sticky fingered and snotty, Little Lu fussing and me completely spent. My husband, takes the kids from me and says "say bye to mom, she's going to take the IPOD and go for a walk." He told me to come home at 6:30 to both kids fed, bathed and ready for bed. He kisses me as I walk in the door and he walks out, I ask him as he's getting in the car where he's going -- Home Teaching. However did I find this man?

side note--here's the link for the ice cream in the ziplock bag---we didn't use rock salt, just the regular kind you have in your cupboard.

Whew! What a day! John was a super husband and daddy for sure...it must run in the Wollenzien blood. P.S. I've been meaning to tell you that I really like the look of your blog.

Zak locked himself in the car once when he was Jack's age. After pleading with him for a good 20 minutes we got him to press the right button to unlock the door.
That was our first introduction to the terrible twos. It looks like Jack has entered that fun age by the bathroom art and waking up of little sister. Just keep blogging about it and save these memories to share with him later. Zak loves hearing about all of the terrible things he put us through.

I can't believe that Lottie is old enough to eat real food! Don't they grow up way to fast?!

What a day! And what a husband! I'm not looking forward to the toddler antics. Mine already is pretty independent so we'll see what happens!

Oh man. Brielle I feel for ya. I had a day just like that on tues., except Sam came home and made us dinner and then proceeded to hold me as I cried in the bathroom...Isn't it great though that you get to start new the next day. The next day is always better. I bet jack was so scared that he locked himself in the car though....
